About the artwork
This vintage cat poster is a restored reproduction of the original French advertising print Le Chat en ampoules, published in 1934. The poster promotes a rodent-control product and shows a red cat chasing a rat against a vivid blue background. The original was printed by B. Sirven in Toulouse and Paris, while the artist remains unidentified. Strong red, blue and orange accents make the design immediately noticeable, while the simplified animal figures reflect the bold advertising style of the 1930s. This restored reproduction works well in kitchens, creative spaces or interiors with French vintage art. Available as a poster or canvas print.
