About the artwork
This circus horse poster is a restored reproduction of the original The Four-Horse Act, created in 1874 and attributed to Gibson & Co. Lith. In the arena, the performer stands across two running horses while guiding all four animals with the reins. Spectators watch from behind the ring, and red theatre curtains frame the scene on both sides. The detailed horses, period costume and unusual act offer a clear glimpse into nineteenth-century circus entertainment. This restored reproduction works well in living rooms, studies or interiors with equestrian and vintage circus themes. Available as a poster or canvas print.
