A large Ricqlès bottle takes centre stage in this vintage advertising poster from 1908, promoting the French peppermint alcohol as the “seul véritable alcool de menthe.” The simple composition, soft pink background and bold green lettering keep the focus firmly on the product and give the design a distinctly early twentieth-century look. The original poster was printed in Paris by F. Champenois, while the individual artist is not identified in the historical record. This striking piece works especially well in kitchens, dining rooms, home bars or interiors with vintage French decor. Available as a poster or canvas print.
