About the artwork
This german circus poster is a restored reproduction of an original Barnum & Bailey chromolithograph from 1900. It was printed in Cincinnati and New York by The Strobridge Lithographing Company and promoted comic performances with bicycles and roller skates. A woman rides through the centre of the arena, while other performers balance, fall and attempt unusual tricks around her. The varied poses, bright costumes and period typography make the scene easy to explore in detail. This restored reproduction works especially well in living rooms, creative spaces or interiors with vintage circus art. Available as a poster or canvas print.
